Russia broadcasts actor and director for first-ever film made in house

Russia is racing to change into the primary nation to shoot a film in house, after it introduced plans to ship an actress and a director to the Worldwide House Station (ISS) — 250 miles above earth — in October.
State information company Ria Novosti stated on Thursday that 35-year-old Yulia Peresild would star within the new film, which will probably be shot in house and directed by 37-year-old Klim Shipenko.

Titled “Vyzov” (“The Problem”), the film will inform the story of a surgeon who has to function on a sick cosmonaut in house as a result of his medical situation prevents him from returning to earth to be handled.

Peresild and Shipenko, who’re well-known in Russia, have been chosen after the nation’s house company, Roscosmos, opened a contest for candidates in November.

Peresild has appeared in quite a few Russian movies and TV collection, whereas Shipenko’s 2020 film “Serf” was one in all Russia’s highest-grossing movies.

Race to house

The timing of the plans places Russia neck-and-neck with a US workforce of actor Tom Cruise and director Doug Liman, who revealed in 2020 that they have been working collectively on a film to be filmed in house.

The as-yet-untitled film, which has no launch date, is being developed in collaboration with Elon Musk’s SpaceX.
